Jendoco Construction
Jendoco Construction Corporation is a General Contractor and Construction Manager serving the Western Pennsylvania region for more than six decades.
Founded in 1957 by Peter C. Dozzi, Jendoco is a privately held, family-owned business in its second generation of ownership and management led by CEO Domenic Dozzi, and President Michael Kuhn.
At Jendoco, we believe that we are not only stewards of the projects on which we work, but also the Earth, the communities, and the individuals WHERE we work. In support of this belief, Jendoco has been a pioneer in green building construction and sustainability in the Pittsburgh Region for more than 25 years.
Our work includes projects ranging from small to large, and across all of the major sustainability certification systems including LEED, WELL Building, Living Building Challenge, and Passive House. The Heartwood Annex at Waldorf School Pittsburgh is the second project EVER to receive LBC Core Certification and the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum at the Heinz History Center was the FIRST Smithsonian Property to achieve LEED Certification!
In addition to providing expertise and management of sustainability initiatives on our projects, Jendoco has been an active partner in developing a regional green building community through advocacy, leadership, and education. Our company President, Michael Kuhn, remains the longest serving member of the Green Building Alliance Board of Directors and was instrumental in the development of the Pittsburgh 2030 District, Green+Healthy Schools Academy, and Green Building Products Initiatives.
“At Jendoco, we want the work that we do to be meaningful and have a NET-POSITIVE impact on people, communities, and the Earth. We want lives to be enriched by the product of our work and to create radical renewal and revitalization in a much larger context. When we prioritize sustainability in our projects, we get closer to realizing these goals.”
Michael Kuhn, President, Jendoco Construction Corporation

Sherman and Joyce Bowie Scott Hall Building
The energy intensive wet labs and nanotechnology research facilities comprise over half Scott Hall’s annual energy consumption. Reliable high-performance mechanical systems, management and occupancy controls, and inventive design strategies for high use spaces significantly reduced energy consumption and helped Scott Hall achieve LEED Gold certification.
