Riverside Mews

Allegheny County, Pennsylvania

One of the first "green" housing developments in Western Pennsylvania, featuring customized townhomes designed to Energy Star for Homes standards.

Project Description

Built over several phases on a former brownfield site, the Riverside Mews features 47 unique, upscale townhomes in Pittsburgh’s South Side neighborhood. Designed by award-winning architects Perkins Eastman Architects and John Martine of Strada, this development has been designed to complement the rich architectural heritage of the neighborhood while creating a modern design and beautiful, light-filled living spaces. Constructed using masonry and wood framing with energy-efficient mechanical systems, each unit is custom-designed to the owner’s requested finishes, all while meeting Energy Star for Homes standards. One of the first “green” housing developments in Western Pennsylvania — as well as one of the largest — Riverside Mews demonstrates that it is possible to blend sustainable, environmentally friendly materials and systems with great design to create homes that are energy-efficient and healthier for their occupants.
